Russian media: Russian air force thwarted Israeli attack on Syria
The Russian news portal Lenta.ru reported that Russian Su-35S multi-role super-maneuverable fighter aircraft of the fourth generation prevented the Israeli Air Force from attacking targets in Syria on the night of September 9.
The news outlet claims that the Russian aircraft “were urgently scrambled from the Khmeimim airbase” and sent to intercept the Israeli bombers in order to prevent them from “attacking Syria in response to an alleged bombardment of Israeli territory”.

Ukraine seeking to swap another 113 prisoners with Russia
After the exchange of prisoners between Moscow and Kyiv on September 7, Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada, Lyudmyla Denisova, said in an interview with RBC news agency that Ukraine is interested in the release of another 113 Ukrainian prisoners who are in custody in Russia. Netherlands considers Tsemakh MH17 plane crash suspect, not witness, following Ukraine-Russia prisoner swap
The Netherlands Public Prosecution Service has reclassified Vladimir Tsemakh from a witness to a suspect in the case concerning the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014, European Parliament member Kati Piri told DW in an interview.
