• Court in Kyiv approved detention of separatist leader Zakharchenko

    On 8 February, the Court of Appeal in Kyiv approved the detention of the separatist leader, Alexander Zakharchenko, as reported by the press service of the Court.

    The decision was made based on a complaint filed by the General Prosecutor’s Office against the decision of the Shevchenko District Court of Kyiv on 14 December 2016, when judges refused to detain Zakharchenko.
