  • Marinka checkpoint in eastern Ukraine closed due to sniper fire

    The Marinka checkpoint was temporarily shut down on the 5th March due to a sniper attack at a Ukrainian roadblock on Saturday morning, the Ukrainian Armed Force’s press center stated.

    The leaders of the Ukrainian forces in the Donbas region declared that the attack was a “reckless violation of the Minsk Agreements by fighters of the so-called DPR”.

  • Ukrainian Intelligence: 9 Russian soldiers were killed in Marinka

    According to the Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, nine Russian soldiers have been killed and eight wounded near the town of Marinka in eastern Ukraine.

  • OSCE: Situation in Donbas region remains highly volatile

    Deputy Chief Monitor of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine, Alexander Hug, held a news conference in Kiev in which he outlined the general security situation in the Donbas region.   • OSCE Observers Fired on in Eastern Ukraine

    Ukrainian representatives at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported that a sniper from the illegally armed groups opened fire on a car from the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission on the 16th of January in Marinka (in the Donetsk region). The car was fired on within the territory under control of members of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic.
