Putin and Iraq's Vice President discussed the delivery of T-90 tanks

During a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iraqi Vice President Nouri al-Maliki, the delivery of T-90 tanks to Iraq was discussed, as reported by RIA Novosti on Tuesday, July 25th, citing the Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Dmitry Shugayev.

In addition, Shugayev said that during al-Maliki’s visit, the parties also discussed the current implementation of military and technical cooperative agreement, and outlined approaches to resolving existing issues.

He added that the existing intergovernmental commission on the military is continuing its work.

Earlier Vladimir Kozhin, the Russian President's aide for military and technical cooperation, told Izvestia that Russia and Iraq had signed a contract for the supply of T-90 tanks, which proved successful in Syria.
