Law enforcement officers conducted a search of the main office of the IT-group, Lanit, at the Murmanskiy Proyezd in Moscow on Wednesday, December 6th, as reported by RBC news agency, citing a representative of the press service of the company.

The TAdviser web portal, citing a visitor at the office who witnessed the incident, and an employee of the company, specified that the search was carried out by people wearing masks and hats with FSB inscriptions.

According to the portal, employees were not allowed to enter the building for several hours and were not let out of it. Investigators, according to TAdviser’s sources, worked on the floor where the accounting and legal departments are housed.

At the same time, the FSB was conducting searches of the offices of the National Computer Corporation (NCC) group of companies in Moscow and St. Petersburg, according to an RBC source at the IT market said and which was confirmed by the press service of the NCC. According to the publication, the FSB is interested in documents relating to the system integrator Systematica, which is a part of the NCC, and the OCS distributor.

The sources of the RBC believe that the searches are connected to contracts between Lanit and Systematica and the Pension Fund in 2012.

In 2012, Lanit signed a contract with the Pension Fund for 1.06 billion rubles ($17.9 million) for the supply of IBM servers and a contract for the supply of equipment for 330 million rubles ($5.6 million), as well as a contract for the supply of software for 230 million rubles ($3.9 million). In 2012, Systematica also signed a contract with the Pension Fund for the delivery of IBM servers worth 306.5 million rubles ($5.2 million), the publication specifies.
