• NATO forces withdraw from Kosovo border with Serbia

    NATO military personnel from the International Peacekeeping Force in Kosovo (KFOR) left the Gazivoda Lake reservoir on the border with Serbia on Sunday, August 5, where they were stationed for over thirteen hours.

    According to local media, there are no more vehicles and NATO soldiers on the access roads to the reservoir and hydroelectric power station. They resumed patrolling the main road in Zubin Potok and the northern part of Kosovo.

    Russia strongly condemns the assassination attempt on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

  • Spain arrests three Russian mafia leaders

    The police in Marbella, south of Spain, arrested three criminal mafia leaders from the former Soviet Union countries. They are accused of the attempted murder, documents falsification and being members of a criminal organization.  Country’s police released a video of their arrest that took place in a cafe.

    According to the Spanish police, the criminal leaders were detained when they allegedly discussed the plan to kill a member of the rival gang.

  • Head of Syrian chemical center killed in car explosion

    Aziz Asbar, a well known scientist believed to be close to Syrian President Bashar al-Asad, was killed in a car explosion in the Syrian city of Masyaf, the Israeli portal Walla reports.

    The explosion took place as Asbar sat in his car, just outside his house. His driver was also killed.

    Militants led by a certain Abu Amar have claimed responsibility for the attack, but local journalists believe that foreign intelligence may have been behind it.
