Poland appoints new Ambassador to Ukraine

Poland has appointed the Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland as the new Ambassador to Ukraine, reported the press service of the Polish Foreign Ministry on Twitter. "The Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowic, on behalf of the Polish President, handed Bartosz Cichocki his nomination to the post of Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine,” the statement reads.

The former ambassador, Jan Piekto had served at his post since October 2016. His resignation was revealed on December 19 and he returned to his homeland on January 31.
