VKontakte and Yandex remain in the top 5 visited websites in Ukraine in spite of sanctions

According to a study by Factum Group Ukraine, Russian resources VKontakte and Yandex, which have been banned in Ukraine, were included in the top-5 ranked websites visited by Ukrainian users in June 2017, the press service of the Internet Association reports.
The top five are Google, Youtube, Facebook, VKontakte and Yandex. Odnoklassniki and Mail.ru made the top 10, in 6th and 9th place, respectively.

On May 16, 2017, President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree enacting the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to update the list of sanctions against a number of Russian companies, including social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, Yandex and others.

Previously, it was reported that as of June in Ukraine, there were 3.8 million non-unique visits to Russian social network VKontakte from desktops per day. Before the introduction of sanctions, this number was 9.8 million.
