Ukrainian Military Command links increased separatist attacks to forthcoming negotiations in Minsk

According to the the speaker of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn, this way the separatists are trying to gain leverage that they can use to influence Ukraine at the meeting in Minsk.

“On November 9, the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group will take place and as always before such events the separatists increase  their shelling, they intensity, they start using subversion groups,” Voloshyn said while on air with Espresso TV.

He noted that the number of shelling attacks started increasing after the Normandy Four meeting. “This is done to put psychological pressure on Ukraine because after the Normandy Four meeting Russia was forced to make certain concessions,” he explained.
