Ukraine to export flour to the U.S.

Kulindorovsky baker's comany, located in Odessa, has signed a contract with an American company for the supply of high-grade flour to the United States, the Dumskaya news agency reports.

According to the publication, this is the first trans-Atlantic agreement for the supply of flour in the history of Ukraine.

The company’s management said that the conclusion of the contract was preceded by a long and laborious work, because the American food market is considered to be relatively closed to imports, making the agreement especially laborious.

The contract was signed for one year. 25 containers with 550 tons of flour will be shipped to the United States in December. Overall, Odessa millers will supply the United States with 6,600 tons of soft flour used in breadmaking.

To date, Odessa flour is shipped to 22 countries.
