Ukraine and Turkey sign agreement on production of radar stations

Ukrinmash, which is part of the Ukrainian State Company of Ukroboronprom, and the Turkish company of Havelsan Hava Elektronik Sanayi have signed a cooperation agreement on the production of passive radar stations.

This information was posted on Ukroboronprom’s website.

The agreement was signed within the framework of the Arms and Security-2016 international exhibition, which is being held in Kyiv. It is reported that the radars will be produced in Ukraine.

“Ukraine and Turkey have today signed an agreement which, for the first time, provides for cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense. This cooperation with Turkey not only allows us to create a much more advanced product, but also opens up new markets, in particular, markets of NATO member countries,” the statement said.

The memorandum on cooperation between Ukrinmash and Havelsan was signed in April this year.

It was previously reported that the Ukroboronservice state company and the Slovakian company of Grand Power S.R.O. had signed an agreement on the joint production of small arms in Ukraine.
