Ukraine and Turkey sign military cooperation plan through 2020

Ukrainian and Turkish armed forces signed a military cooperation plan that determines areas of military cooperation between the states until 2020, stated the General Staff of Ukraine on Facebook. The plan reportedly contains a number of steps aimed at improving the operational capabilities of the Ukrainian army.

The military cooperation plan includes reforming and military planning, military education and training of troops, consultative and advisory assistance and cooperation between armed forces branches.

"It is the implementation of practical measures on military cooperation that, on one hand, will allow us to strengthen ties with our southern neighbor, and on the other hand, to focus efforts on achieving the ultimate goal—to prepare Ukraine's Armed Forces for joining NATO in 2020,” the General Staff said.
