Tymoshenko: Yatsenyuk's dismissal should be considered this week

According to the leader of the All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland" (Batkivshchyna), Yulia Tymoshenko, the dismissal of Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk should be considered at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on the 15th of March.

This was said by Tymoshenko during a discussion on the Inter TV channel on the 13th of March.

“Firstly, the issue of the dismissal of the Prime Minister should be put on the agenda. The whole government should then be relieved of their responsibilities in accordance with the Constitution,” Tymoshenko said.

According to her, the results of the vote will clearly demonstrate “whether parliament is Ukrainian, or whether it wants to continue uninterrupted with its plethora of corrupt deals”.

On the 16th of February, the Verkhovna Rada failed to dismiss the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk. The no-confidence vote for this dismissal was only supported by 194 deputies, but 226 votes were required.

On the 17th of February, the Batkivshchyna faction decided to leave the coalition of the Verkhovna Rada. Tymoshenko had said that a “hard reset of the entire executive branch of power” was necessary.
