Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Pakistani Navy are planning to hold joint exercises

Sailors of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Pakistani Navy started to plan the PASSEX joint naval exercise near Novorossiysk, Russia. This was announced on December 7 by the chief of the information support department of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Vyacheslav Trukhachev, the Krymform news agency reported.

"The exercise will include practice in organizing steering ships after trawls, joint maneuvers and exercises for search and rescue at sea," Trukhachev specified. According to him, the Pakistani sailors have seen the sights in Novorossiysk already.

"Together with the staff of the host Pytlivy guard ship, the guests took part in the laying of wreaths and flowers to the Eternal Flame on the Walk of Fame. They also took part in sports competitions such as football, volleyball and tug-of-war. This afternoon, Alamgir, the Pakistani frigate will be opened to residents and guests of Novorossisk,” Trukhachev added.

It was reported on December 5 that the Black Sea Fleet Pytlivy patrol ship set out to Novorossiysk to meet the Pakistan Navy frigate. The patrol ship had returned to the annexed Sevastopol in late November after having performed tasks in the Mediterranean Sea.
