Deputy Head of the Administration of the Ukrainian President: Trump and Poroshenko discussed the reintegration of the Donbas

Some elements of the future bill on de-occupation and reintegration of the Donbas were discussed during the President Petro Poroshenko’s visit to Washington, as stated by the Deputy Head of Administration of the President of Ukraine, Kostiantyn Yeliseyev, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"The main issue was how to unite and coordinate efforts with the Americans in order to bring peace and stability to the Donbas. Some elements of this bill were the focus of the negotiation process with the US since the bases of the future bill are, of course, the Minsk agreements, and the key point is the fulfillment of the security conditions by Russia," he said on the “Pravo na vladu” talk show on the evening of June 22.

According to Yeliseyev, the parties also discussed the possibility of joint pressure on Russia to fulfill its security obligations under the Minsk agreements. "President Trump clearly said that this is not a conflict in Ukraine, but that this is a direct Russian aggression," he said.

Recently, it was reported that the new bill on reintegration of the Donbas would allow the army to be used without an Anti-Terrorist Operation and without a declaration of war.
