Shoygu: Russia and Iran will pursue bilateral projects to fight against international terrorism

Speaking at a meeting with Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu said Moscow and Tehran hope to pursue bilateral projects to raise the efficiency of the fight against international terrorism, TASS reported.

"We believe the efficiency of measures taken by Russia and Iran on fight against international terrorism will, to a great extent, depend on the implementation of bilateral projects," Shoygu said.

The meeting between the two Defense Ministers came a day after Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov was assassinated in Ankara.
