Pro-Russian group in Poland submits complaint with Prosecutor's Office over Ukrainian activists

An unregistered Polish political party called “Change” filed a complaint with the Prosecutor’s office in Warsaw about the Euromaidan-Warsaw activists. Polish Radio reported that Ukrainians were accused of contempt of Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin.

Members of the party drew attention to October 7th last year when Euromaidan-Warsaw activists started picketing the Embassy of Russia Federation on the center of Warsaw. During the protest, participants used placards where Putin was equated with Adolf Hitler. They used the slogan "Hutin Pui" and displayed miniatures of coffins with crosses. The goal of the event was to draw the attention of the Polish public to Russia’s criminal acts and victims in Donbas.

The Polish Prosecutor’s Office accepted the complaint but will open an investigation only if Russia initiates it. It remains to be seen if the Russian Embassy in Poland will take issue with the "Hutin Pui" slogan, a known chant initiated by hooligans of the Football Club Metalist Kharkov.

The leader of the “Change" party, Mateusz Piskorski, attended the referendums in Donbas and Crimea as an observer. He is known to support Russian aggression against Ukraine and often appears on propagandists channels of Russian TV.

The "Change" party has already complained to the Prosecutor’s Office that, among other things, Euromaidan-Warsaw keeps a bust of Putin in a cage in their offices.
