Nemtsov's daughter calls on Russian investigators to question Ramzan Kadyrov over her father's death

Zhanna Nemtsova, the daughter of murdered Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, has asked Russian investigators to interrogate the Head of the Chechen Republic of Russia, Ramzan Kadyrov.

On April 28, 2016, Nemtsova's lawyer, Vadim Prokhorov, told the news agency TASS that his client had requested that investigators question nine individuals from Kadyrov’s inner-circle in connection with the murder of her father in Moscow last year.

Zhanna Nemtsova is the reporter of the "German Wave" and the founder of “The Boris Nemtsov Foundation”. She moved from Russia to Germany after her father was shot near the Kremlin on February 27, 2015.

Several people from Chechnya were arrested and charged with involvement in the murder: Zaur Dadaev, whom the investigators consider as the direct executor of the crime, as well as Khamzat Bacha, Anzor and Shadid Gubashevy and Tamerlan Eskerhanov who were accused of being accessories to the crime.

The former officer of the battalion "North", Ruslan Muchudinov, was later arrested in absentia. He was accused of the organization of the murder.

However, the relatives and the lawyers of Nemtsov expressed skepticism about the results of the investigation, insisting that the murder was actually committed by leading Russian officials.
