Media: Israeli and Russian Minsters of Defense to discuss deployment of Syrian troops near Israel’s borders

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman will meet on Thursday in Moscow with his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu amid rumors of the forthcoming return of Syrian government troops to the southwest of the country.
According to the source of RIA Novosti , the main topic of the conversation will be precisely the discussion of the allegedly forthcoming return of Syrian government forces to the borders of Israel.

According to the Israeli media, Israel is ready to accept that the Syrian forces will be stationed near its borders if there are guarantees that there will be no Iranian forces and its proxies.

The source stressed that there are no specific agreements between Russia and Israel on this issue at the moment.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense in the announcement of Lieberman's trip to Russia left out the agenda of negotiations with Shoygu.
