Kremlin accuses U.S. of trying to break up Syria

The Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, believes that the United States wants to implement plan “B” for Syria, which will change the regime of power in the country. He stated this at a joint press conference with the Foreign Minister of Namibia, Interfax reported.

Sergey Lavrov said that he became aware, from various sources, of the existence of a group of Americans who are developing plans for the collapse of Syria.

In particular, Western partners led by the United States are trying to prevent Jabhat al-Nusra from being attacked. Then they then will use its fighters to overthrow the authority of President Bashar Assad.

Lavrov believes that this is another confirmation of how unconscionable Western partners are, who once again say one thing but then do the opposite.

“This is yet another confirmation of the incompetence of our Western partners, who in practical terms embark on a course that directly contradicts the resolutions of the UN Security Council, which, among other things, constantly reaffirms respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic,” he concluded.

Earlier, Sergey Lavrov said that the U.S. military is preparing NATO countries without nuclear capability to use tactical nuclear weapons against Russia.
