Crimean authorities recognize Zelensky's wife's ownership of an apartment in Livadia

The so-called "State Registry Committee" of the annexed Crimea stated that they recognize the rights of newly elected President's wife of the Vladimir Zelensky and Olena on a luxury apartment in Livadia, reports RBC news agency.

The press service of the "State Committee of Crimea on state registration and cadaster" said that there was no appeal from the wife of Zelensky.

"There were no appeals. According to her declaration, she has included it [the apartment] there, and it means she owns it. Also, in our base, we don't have the opportunity to confirm whether the rights are registered in it; access to such information is only at a certain people", - explained in a press-service.

The "state Committee" also stated that all property rights commenced while Crimea was part of Ukraine are valid under Russian law.

"Yes, they are recognized as valid indefinitely. So, there is no need to re-register them," the Russian Department noted.

According to Reuters report Zelensky has real estate in the Crimea. As it turned out, Olena Zelenska bought an elite apartment in the residential complex "Emperor" in Livadia on the Black Sea coast from the Ukrainian businessman and former Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Buryak in 2013.

Zelensky's Press-service declared that the family of the President would use this apartment "only after return of the Crimea to Ukraine." Later it became known that Olena Zelenska is selling this apartment for 790 thousand dollars.
