Ukraine bans showing Russian films released after January 1st, 2014
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law that forbids showing any Russian films released after 1 January 2014 without exception.
Amendments to "The Motion Picture Law" were adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday, March 29th. Dzhemilev proposes adopting Latin script for Crimean Tatar language
The Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science held a meeting on the development and protection of the Crimean Tatar language, during which Mustafa Dzhemilev, the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine on Affairs of the Crimean Tatar People, proposed adopting the Latin alphabet for the Crimean Tatar language, Krym.Realii reported. Ukrainian Armed Forces expect separatist assault on government-held Avdiivka
The fighting around Avdiivka in eastern Ukraine has intensified in recent days, and, according to journalist Roman Bochkala, separatist groups are preparing a major assault on Ukrainian positions.
