  • Naftogaz's claim against Gazprom exceeds $8 billion

    The total claim amount made against Gazprom by Naftogaz has reached 8.2 billion dollars.  This claim is in regard to a contract between these two companies for the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.

  • Five Ukrainian companies file lawsuit against Russia

    Five Ukrainian companies, DneprAzot, Ukrinterinvest, Lugzor, Lisbet and Aberon Ltd., filed a lawsuit against Russia with the International Court of Arbitration in The Hague, as published on the Court’s website on the 24th of February.   • ECHR rules that Russia must pay Navalny and Ofitserov 86,000 euros

    The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled in favor of Alexei Navalny and Petr Ofitserov.  They had previously submitted a complaint against the decision of the Russian Court in the case of Kirovles.  The text of the ruling was published on the website of the ECHR.

    In the State of Illinois, relatives of victims who were killed in the crash of Malaysian flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine in 2014 filed a class action lawsuit against Russian citizen, Igor Strelkov (also known as Igor Girkin).   • Russia files lawsuit against Ukraine over $3 billion debt

    On the 17th of February, the Ministry of Finance of Russia filed a lawsuit against Ukraine with the Supreme Court of London for the recovery of a $3 billion debt in the form of Eurobonds.  Russia provided this loan to Ukraine in December 2013, the Minister of Finance, Anton Siluanov reported.

  • Court in Ukrainian city of Rivne seizes Sberbank accounts

    The Rivne City Court has ruled to seize the accounts of Sberbank of Russia for UAH 8.5 billion (appromately $330 million).  This decision was made on the 26th of January during the consideration of Evgeny Puhalskiy’s lawsuit. Puhalskiy requires the bank to return his funds amounting to EUR 325 million.  The 33-year-old entrepreneur has been in the process of suing Sberbank of Russia since September of 2015.
