EU voted on resolution to counter Russian media
At a meeting on Wednesday, November 23, members of the European Parliament voted on a resolution to combat the Russian media, the most dangerous of which were determined to be the Sputnik news agency and RT television network.

US experts: Russia exerts covert pressure on eastern European countries
A report from US private research groups shows that the governments of five eastern and central European countries are under pressure from the Russian Federation, threatening their pro-Western orientation. NATO fighters escorted Russian bombers flying near the airspace of five European countries
Two Russian TU-160 bombers were intercepted by NATO fighter planes as they flew from Norway to northern Spain and back, BBC reports.
Air Force fighter jets from Norway, Great Britain, France and Spain took into the air as Russian aircraft approached the borders of each country.
The incident reportedly took place on September 22, but details only emerged recently, after a statement by the French Ministry of Defense, who called it an air policing mission.

French fighters escorted Russian bombers off the coast of Brittany
On the 22nd of September, two French Rafale fighter jets were scrambled to escort two Russian Tu-160 bombers that were intercepted 100 kilometers from Brittany’s coastline (Atlantic coast) as they were approaching the borders of France, the Ministry of Defense of France reported.
This is at least the third incident involving Russian bombers making forays into Europe. Previously, Russian Tu-160 bombers were spotted in the north of Norway, then in the west of Ireland and after that near France.

EU extends sanctions against Russia for another six months
The EU Council has adopted a decision on the approval of the proposal to extend individual sanctions against 146 Russian and Ukrainian individuals, and against 37 legal entities. These sanctions were extended for six months, until the 15th of March 2017.

Media: Russia may deploy nuclear-capable missiles to Kaliningrad by 2019
